HCMC fest screens Japanese comedies for free

Eight famous Japanese comedies will be screened for free at the Japanese Film Festival to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 24 to December 1.

The event organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will screen movies including Cannonball Wedlock (2011), A Good Husband (2010), Permanent Nobara (2010), The Chef of South Polar (2009), Double Trouble (2008), Summer Days with Coo (2007), Mind Game (2004), and Hush! (2001).

The movies will be shown with English subtitles and dubbed in Vietnamese.

The screening will take place at the Dong Da Theater on Tran Hung Dao Street in District 5.

Earlier, the festival was held in Hanoi from October 25 to November 4 and in the coastal city of Phan Thiet from November 16 to 18.
