FPT, founded in 1988, is Vietnam’s leading technology solutions provider, offering AI-enabled services to global clients, Chelsea introduced in its press release.
Under the agreement, FPT will work with Chelsea to enhance the club’s digital infrastructure and fan experience both at Stamford Bridge and across online platforms.
The two sides will collaborate on areas such as digital technology, software development, and data intelligence.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“As Chelsea celebrates its 120th anniversary, our future will be shaped not only by on-pitch success but also by how we use technology to transform the club,” said Todd Kline, Chelsea’s president of commercial operations.
“FPT’s expertise in AI and digital solutions makes them a strong partner.”
Pham Minh Tuan, CEO of FPT Software, said the partnership marks a key step in FPT’s global expansion strategy.
“It reflects our shared commitment to excellence and the power of technology to deliver meaningful connections,” he said in a statement.
Mark Scrivens, CEO of FPT Software UK, added that the company will implement innovations such as data analytics and AI to improve performance and deepen fan engagement.
Despite speculation, FPT is not Chelsea’s jersey sponsor.
According to a source close to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, FPT’s over-the-top (OTT) TV and entertainment application, FPT Play, is also in talks to acquire broadcast rights for a high-profile club football tournament featuring Chelsea this summer.
