The opening ceremony was attended by many high-ranking officials, including Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolai Prytz, along with representatives from international and local businesses.
With an investment of over US$1 billion, the factory is LEGO’s sixth worldwide and second in Asia, built to support long-term growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
It will help bring LEGO products closer to children and fans in the area while reinforcing the group’s commitment to sustainability.
"This is our most sustainable factory to date," said LEGO CEO Niels B. Christiansen.
"We aim to create a safe, inspiring, and eco-friendly work environment for both current and future employees."
The facility will be powered entirely by renewable energy.

LEGO has partnered with the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park J.V. Co. (VSIP) to develop a battery energy storage system that stores solar power generated from rooftop panels.
The Danish toy manufacturer also announced plans to hire 4,000 skilled employees in the coming years, investing in a local workforce through intensive global training programs that began in 2024 and continue to receive support from over 100 international trainers.
In November 2022, LEGO commenced construction of the factory, which is the largest FDI project by a Danish company in Binh Duong.
Located on a 44-hectare site, the factory features five main buildings covering 150,000 square meters, including office space, an energy center, injection molding and packaging lines, an automated warehouse, and other facilities.
