Thousands of martial arts fans filled Nguyen Du Sports Hall in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday afternoon to witness the performance of 12 Japanese martial artists at the Japanese Martial Arts Performance Festival.

The festival was co-organized by the Nippon Budokan Public Financial Organization, the Japan Martial Arts Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, and the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association.

The event focused on strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Japan through a blend of modern and traditional martial arts.

Up to 70 Japanese martial artists and coaches in nine modern Japanese martial arts, namely Judo, Kendo, Kyudo, Sumo, Karatedo, Aikido, Shorinji Kempo, Naginata, and Jukendo, and three traditional martial arts, including Tennenrishinryu Kenjutsu, Muhi Muteki Ryu Jojutsu, and Ryukyu-Oukehiden-Motobu Udundi, arrived in Ho Chi Minh City for the festival.

Each artist has spent many years practicing, so their performances were attractive and eye-catching. The audience enjoyed applauding all the performances.
