Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, director of the department, signed the registration document for the Lancaster Legacy complex, located at 230 Nguyen Trai Street in District 1.

The Lancaster Legacy is a mixed-use development covering nearly 8,500 square meters.

The project includes five underground levels, a six-story commercial podium, and three towers, each standing 38 to 39 stories tall, with more than 700 residential units.

As of Friday, several contractors were still working on the project, which began in 2021, with exterior glass installation nearly complete.

The general contractor, Coteccons, topped out the development in April 2024.

Duong Thanh Thuy, vice chairwoman of Trung Thuy Group Corporation, which is partnering with the 990 Company under the Ho Chi Minh CityDepartment of Public Security for the project construction, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the development is on track to be completed by the April 30 deadline.

Thuy noted that although the project received land allocation in 2018, delays occurred due to regulatory issues.

Authorities are working to resolve these challenges and accelerate construction.

The total investment for the Lancaster Legacy project is estimated at VND10 trillion ($388.6 million), including land-related financial obligations.

“Delays in land valuation and financial obligations have affected this and other real estate projects in Ho Chi Minh City,” Thuy said.

“Once these issues are resolved, the projects will be completed, helping to increase the city’s housing supply.”
