In kapok blooming season, flowers set the sky on fire in Vietnam

For many people born and raised in Vietnam's northern delta, majestic kapok trees with their fiery velvet-like blooms have become part of their childhood

In late March, kapok trees splash thousands of reddish orange dots over Tonkin villages’ skies in Vietnam.

For many people born and raised in the country's northern delta, majestic kapok trees with their fiery velvet-like blooms have become part of their childhood.

Stepping on dirt roads covered by fallen flowers and adoring tall trunks aging over the years, one may feel something awakening deep inside – a sense of renewal and nostalgia.
