-- Three motorcyclists were crushed by a falling tamarind bough while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green at an intersection in District 1 on Saturday afternoon.

-- The Party Committee of Ke Sach District in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang said that the deputy director of the district’s land ownership registry office had been admonished after a sex video clip featuring himself and a female accountant at a local school has gone viral in recent days.

-- Four family members, including a sexagenarian woman and her three grandchildren aged between three and nine, were found dead with multiple stabbing wounds in their own home in Uong Bi City, located in the northern province of Quang Ninh, on Saturday morning. 

-- Two people were killed and 15 others got injured in a fatal collision which happened early Saturday between a trailer truck and a sleeper bus in Mo Cay Bac District in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre, according to the deputy director of a local hospital providing medical treatment for the victims.

-- Major general Doan Duy Khuong, director of the Hanoi police department, has asserted his agency will look closely into an incident in which a Tuoi Tre (Youth) reporter had been assaulted by some police officers in Dong Anh District while the reporter was doing his legal job at the site of a suicide committed by a taxi driver on Friday morning.

-- Over 500 representatives of information technology and communications agencies and enterprises, including such giants as IBM, Microsoft and Amazon, attended the 2016 Vietnam ICT Summit, which took place in Hanoi on Saturday. 

-- Crocodile farmers in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces are getting distressed over slumping prices and unsold stock in recent times.

-- An international dance festival, which is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from Saturday to October 2, will feature performances by artists and troupes from Vietnam and other countries. Foreign choreographers joining the festival will also hold contemporary dance classes for local youths.    Sports

-- Around 2,500 athletes from 42 countries and territories across Asia will compete at the 2016 Asian Beach Games, which opened on Saturday night in the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang and runs until Monday next week.
