Three underage girls have been found working for a restaurant that offers unlicensed karaoke services in Ho Chi Minh City, with two staff members testing positive for drugs.

Police officers raided Nam Anh Restaurant, located at 184 Nguyen Bieu Street, Ward 2, District 5, on Thursday - discovering a room with three guests drinking beer and singing karaoke with three female attendants.

The karaoke service was found being offered without a permit.

Officials went on to find that 21 of the restaurant’s staff members had not signed work contracts with the owner and nine staff members failed to present their required personal papers.

The staff members also included one 16-year-old girl and two 14-year-old girls.

A quick test of the 38 employees showed that two girls were positive for drugs.

Police then took the nine people who could not prove their identity, the three minors, and the two drugs-positive staff members to the station for investigation.
