It is admirable for an elderly man in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta who has called upon his friends and other philanthropists to supply free meals to the poor for the last 25 years and free healthcare for 10 years.
He is Nhan Hong Huynh, also known as Hai Huynh, in Tan Chau District of An Giang Province.
His group now has the aid of hundreds of volunteers, giving hundreds of free meals a day to patients and their relatives at Tan Chau General Clinic and around 18,000 other meals a month to the poor outside the hospital.
