583 cabbies at Tan Son Nhat punished for troubling short-haul passengers in 2014

As many as 583 taxi drivers working for different firms were penalized last year for rejecting passengers who wanted a short ride from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City or requesting more money than was displayed on the meter, according to the airport authorities.

In 2014, the Hoang Long taxi firm had 11 drivers who refused to transport passengers needing to travel a short distance from Tan Son Nhat.

The Saigon Tourist taxi operator had 10 drivers make a similar mistake.
