Vietnam has become one of the largest trading partners of Hong Kong with their trade topping tens of billions of U.S. dollars last year, according to what was announced by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at a press briefing on Wednesday.
The Southeast Asian country was the special administrative region’s 12th largest trading partner in 2014, the HKTDC said in a press release, adding bilateral trade reached $14 billion, up 11.7 percent from 2013.
The council is the international marketing arm for Hong Kong-based traders, manufacturers, and service providers.
