The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam could delay the plan to upgrade the taxiway and apron at the country’s biggest airport by one month under a tentative proposal apparently issued under pressure from local airlines.
The country’s aviation watchdog is working with the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to “agree upon a suitable time to reduce the use of the taxiway CHC 25L/07R” at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to serve the upgrade, the CAAV said in a press release late Tuesday.
“The upgrade is expected to run from May 10 to July 25,” the announcement reads.
