Fourteen international performers will entertain Ho Chi Minh City audience in a two-month run of circus shows starting this weekend.

The circus shows, organized by Phuong Nam Performing Theater and Japanese company Happy Dream Circus, will take place at Gia Dinh Park in the city’s Tan Binh District.

The show will feature 14 performers from Venezuela, Argentina, Columbia, Mexico, Ecuador, Russia and Japan, who will perform stunning stunts and tricks alongside Vietnamese artists.

“The performances will encompass three factors of hilarity, risk, and emotion,” Happy Dream Circus consultant Imai Kenji said at a press conference on Tuesday. “After this pilot run, we are looking to invite Vietnamese artists to perform with us in Japan.”

The show will run from this Friday until February 19, 2017 with two performances daily. On weekends and holidays, the group will deliver three performances a day.

Happry Dream Circus was founded in Japan in 2003 with two circuses who have been performing across Japan and touring around other countries.

This is the first time the company has brought its performances to Vietnam.
