The pictures have been posted to Facebook over the past two months

A kindergarten teacher in the north-central Vietnamese province of Thanh Hoa is seeking help from competent authorities after her nude photos began popping up on social media about two months ago.

Several photos of Lo Thi D., a 33-year-old kindergarten teacher in Son Dien Commune, Quang Son District, have been posted on a Facebook account over the past two months.

The photos typically accompany a post tagging or mentioning D.’s personal Facebook together with claims the teacher has HIV.

According to the victim, the photos were taken in 2017 with her then-boyfriend, P.V.Q., a 68-year-old widower residing in neighboring Ninh Binh Province.

D. and Q. began dating following a divorce between D. and her ex-husband.

The images were taken as memories and were only meant to be shared between the couple.

When D. approached Q. in late 2017 telling him she wanted to break up, the man did not agree.

The photos began appearing online shortly after.

Lo Thi Chiem, the kindergarten’s principal, said that the school board is encouraging D. to continue teaching and helped her file a report to the administration in Son Dien Commune and the education office in Quang Son District.

However, a month after the report was submitted, the photos continue to surface online.

There are signs of slander and humiliation in this case, Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Minh, deputy chief of the police unit in Quang Son, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Wednesday.

Officers will assist D. in filing a formal complaint with the police department, Lt. Col. Minh continued.

“Based on the victim’s statement, we will deal with the case and impose a suitable punishment on the individual responsible,” the police official asserted.
