The phenomenon arose following the construction work of a company 

A large part of a coastal dirt road in south-central Vietnam has seriously worn away allegedly due to destructive effects from the ocean, imperiling the movement on it.

A stretch over one kilometer long of the road in Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, has had one of its halves fall into the sea irretrievably.

Several portions of the above strip have disappeared virtually completely, putting in danger utility poles and the Internet cable located along the way, and forcing walkers and riders to take a detour.

Local authorities put the erosion down to the recent appearance of strong winds accompanied by sea level rise, planning to relocate utility poles doomed to topple.

A resident along the road said that the incident played out after the petroleum port of a company began to be built, with large amounts of earth and stone unloaded onto the beach in a seaward expansion.

One side of the structure is suffering soil collapse while deposits are forming on the other side.
