Jetstar Pacific will begin Friday operating daily international services between China’s Macau and Da Nang and Hanoi, Vietnam’s central and northern hubs, the Vietnamese low-cost carrier has announced.
Starting March 28, there will be 21 round trips per week on the new routes on the Airbus A320-180, according to Jetstar Pacific general director Le Hong Ha.
Two flights will depart daily from Da Nang International Airport at 11:05 am and 4:30 pm, while departures from Macau will leave at 9:00 am and 2:25 pm local time, respectively.
The sole daily flight from Hanoi will depart at 10:00 pm from Noi Bai International Airport, and at 7:55 local time from the Macau-based terminal.
Tickets are available on the airline’s website.
The Macau flights are the first two new international routes added by Jetstar Pacific in 2014, Ha said.
The no frills carrier is expected to receive more aircraft to have a total of 10 Airbus A320s in its fleet, which will enable the launch of new international services between Vietnam and Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
In related airline news, Japan Airlines has said it will offer new services connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Tokyo at the end of this month.
“Starting March 30, there will be one round trip between Tan Son Nhat and Haneda airports per day,” its Vietnamese representative said in a statement.
The Japanese airline is operating many flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo together with seven other U.S. cities.
