Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast reported sales of over 12,500 EVs in February, a 25-percent month-on-month increase, with the VF 3 mini electric SUV leading the lineup, recording 5,200 units sold, or nearly 200 vehicles per day.

With a starting price below VND300 million (US$11,770) each, including the battery, the VF 3 has attracted strong demand, thanks to its affordability and high level of customization.

Crossover city car VF 5 was the second-best seller, with over 3,000 units sold in February.

Its versatility has made it popular for both personal use and ride-hailing services.

The car is powered by a 134-horsepower electric engine with 135Nm of torque and a 37.23kWh battery, providing a driving range of up to 326 kilometers per charge.

Compact SUV VF 5 ranked third, with nearly 2,000 units delivered nationwide. This marks the fifth consecutive month that sales of the VF 6 have surpassed 1,000 units per month, reflecting steady consumer demand.

For the first time, VinFast disclosed sales figures for the VF 7, a C-segment SUV, which recorded over 570 units sold last month. Meanwhile, the combined sales of the VF e34, VF 8, and VF 9 totaled approximately 1,630 units.

In just the first two months of 2025, VinFast sold nearly 23,000 EVs, surpassing the combined sales of Japanese automakers Isuzu and Suzuki in Vietnam, which reported 10,522 and 10,262 units, respectively.

As part of its expanding lineup, VinFast recently announced pricing for its new Green vehicle series.

Models including the Minio Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Limo Green will be available for pre-order starting March 17, through Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (GSM), a subsidiary of Vingroup.

The prices of these models range from VND269 million ($10,570) for the Minio Green to VND749 million ($29,390) for the Limo Green.
