The Ministry of Education and Training is calling for applications from Vietnamese candidates for ten scholarships to study in undergraduate and graduate programs in India next year.

Available disciplines include social sciences, humanities, engineering, technology, and others.

Indian universities will not admit those who want to follow medicine and dentistry majors.

Candidates can be college freshmen, school teachers or college lecturers, government employees, private sector employees, and those who are jobless and already graduated from bachelor’s and master’s programs this year with a GPA of 7.0 out of 10.

The Indian government will provide tuition and other allowances for scholarship winners who are private sector employees and those who graduated from bachelor’s and master’s programs.

Successful applicants who are college freshmen, school teachers or college lecturers, and government employees will receive living expenses and air tickets in addition to India’s tuition and allowances.

Selected candidates are expected to begin their studies in June and July next year. They must commit themselves to returning to Vietnam upon graduation.

Applications in English and Vietnamese must be submitted online at http://tuyensinh.vied.vn and in hard copy to the ministry’s International Education Development office at 21 Le Thanh Tong, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi by January 15.

Detailed information can be found at http://vied.vn/vn/content/thongbao/tuyensinh/thong-bao-tuyen-sinh-di-hoc-an-do-nam-2014_49920.aspx.
