Model Lan Khue represents Vietnam at China contest

Local model Tran Ngoc Lan Khue is representing Vietnam at this year’s Miss Model of the World in Shenzhen, China.

The model will wear costumes designed by Quynh Paris, Minh Tu and Ngo Nhat Huy. Khue is 1m77 tall, weighs 52kg and has measurements of 86-60-89. She is studying German at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

She has strutted on catwalks of many famous local fashion shows as well as made appearances on several renowned magazines.

Earlier this year, she attended the 2012 Asian Super Model Contest in Nanning, China and won the second runner-up title.

Miss Model of the World was first launched in Istanbul, Turkey in 1988 with 42 countries participating. This year, the contest attracts around 60 contestants from all over the world.

The final round will take place on December 2.

Vietnam has sent contestants to this annual competition. In 2008 Pham Ngoc Ha entered the Top 5 of Best Bikini Wear round while Nguyen Ngoc Lan Huong won the Best Evening Gown award one year later. The first contestant from Vietnam was Thanh Ngoc who won no prize in 2003.
