On June 17, the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography in the central province of Khanh Hoa received a model of the Truong Sa Lon island, part of Vietnam's Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, from the Me Trang Coffee Joint Stock Company.

The model includes a maquette of the island, the sovereignty landmark and the lighthouse on a scale of 1:400k. It is showcased at the Hoang Sa – Truong Sa (Paracel and Spratly) Islands’ Resources Museum in the institute.

According to Bui Hong Long, head of the institute, the model not only has a high aesthetic quality, but also can help visitors get closer to the Spratly archipelago.

The museum is currently displaying many other objects related to the Paracel and Spratly Islands.
