Exhibition features photos by visually impaired people

108 photos taken by visually impaired people are now on show in the capital city of Hanoi

An exhibition featuring photos taken by visually impaired people is being held in the capital city of Hanoi, drawing the attention of tourists and local people.

Titled “A New Me,” the event showcases 108 pictures divided into eight topics - I Believe, I Love, I Share, I Learn, I am Me, I Thrive, I Dare and I Can. The photos capture stories told by the disabled, people with HIV, drug addicts, street vendors, members of the LGBT community, ethnic minorities, the poor, immigrant workers, teenagers and youths. These people share the positive changes in their life brought about through the support of civil society organizations.

“The photos are very meaningful and close to life,” Dinh Ba Hoi, from Ba Dinh District, said.

The exhibition is the result of six months of hard work by the 15 Vietnamese civil society organizations participating in the program.

It will run at Ly Thai To Park in Hoan Kiem District until September 22. Admission is free.
