Free tickets offered to HCMC’s Japanese film festival

The "Thổi làn gió mới! Phim truyện và hoạt hình Nhật Bản 2013” (New wind! 2013 Japanese movie and cartoon festival) will kick off in Ho Chi Minh City on November 15.

The 7-day event is sponsored by the Consulate General of Japan in HCMC, Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs, and the Japan Image Council. It is part of activities held this year to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. This is the largest Japanese film festival ever in HCMC with 30 screenings in total.

It will feature 28 movies by Japanese directors, including “Mai Mai Miracle,” “Oshin,” “Wolf Children,” “A Letter to Momo,” “Rainbow Butterflies,” “Leaving on the 15th Spring,” “Blindly in Love,” and “Love Strikes.”

Free tickets will be available at BHD Star Cineplex Icon 168 at 2 Hai Trieu Street in District 1 from 10am to 5pm on November 9.
