2014 Francophone Film Fest to hit 4 Vietnamese cities

The 2014 Francophone Film Festival will be brought to four locations across the country, including Hanoi, Hue City, Vinh City and Ho Chi Minh City, this month.

The event, held by Francophone organizations, delegations and embassies in Vietnam, will boast 11 feature and animated movies from eight countries, Belgium, France, Guinea, Luxembourg, Romania, Switzerland, Chad, and Vietnam.

The movies are Grigris, Mobile Home, Nhung Nguoi Viet Huyen Thoai (The Legend Makers), Puppy Love, Bancs Publics (Park Benches), Couleur de Peau: Miel (Color of Skin: Honey), L'Absence (Absence), Nea Marin Miliardar (Uncle Marin, the Billionaire), Les Guerriers (The Warriors), Win Win, and Adieu Berthe (Goodbye Berthe).

They will be screened with Vietnamese subtitles.

The festival will take place at Hanoi’s L'Espace at 24 Trang Tien Street from March 11 to 28, the Francophone Center in Vinh City at 36 Nguyen Duc Canh Street from March 11 to 28, HCMC’s IDECAF at 28 Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1 from March 12 to 29, and the French Cultural Center in Hue City at 1 Le Hong Phong Street from March 14 to 27.

Tickets cost VND20,000 and VND30,000 each for the festival in Hanoi and HCMC, respectively. Admission for the events in Hue and Vinh is free.
