A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by Tran Quoc Vuong, the CPV Central Committee Secretary and head of the Party Central Committee Office, is paying a 6-day working visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) that started on July 24.
In a meeting with the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) delegation in Pyongyang on July 26, Vuong said the Party and State of Vietnam highly values the traditional friendship with the DPRK and wishes to strengthen bilateral cooperation for mutual interests.
Vuong expressed his belief that the DPRK people, under the leadership of the WPK, will overcome all difficulties to achieve more success in the cause of national construction, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
During the past time, the official said, the relations between the two Parties, States and peoples have seen new developments which have been demonstrated through visits by high-ranking Party and State leaders and friendship exchanges between the two nations.
For his part, head of the WPK delegation, Kim Jong-in, Politburo alternate member and Central Committee Secretary, expressed his delight at the developing traditional friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples.
He affirmed that the Party and State of the DPRK highly appreciates the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries.
During the past days in their stay in DPRK, the Vietnamese delegation joined activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Korean liberation war and visited several economic, cultural and historical sites in Pyongyang.
