It will also serve as a communications channel between the event’s IPU-132 Organizing Board, the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments, and member states. In addition, maps, tourist information, hotels and restaurants in Hanoi are also posted on the website. The IPU-132 is scheduled for March 2015, drawing more than 1,300 delegates from 160 countries and territories. Earlier on September 26, Vietnamese National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi  Phong chaired a meeting in Hanoi to review preparations for the IPU-132.

Phong demanded that sub-committees under the IPU-132 Organizing Board urgently develop detailed plans and strengthen co-ordination to complete preparations on schedule. She urged the External Affairs Subcommittee to step up finalizing reports on an IPU-132 detailed agenda to submit them to the NA Standing Committee and the NA soon.

The NA vice chairwoman also asked relevant agencies to complete necessary preperations for the Vietnamese delegation to attend IPU-131 in Switzerland next month.
