North Koreaan leader Kim Jong Un to visit Vietnam

North Koreaan leader Kim Jong Un to visit Vietnam

Chairman of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un will pay an official friendship visit to Vietnam in the coming days, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday.

The visit is made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Vietnam Communist Party, State President Nguyen Phu Trong, according to the ministry.

Kim Jong Un is chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the State Affairs Commission of DPRK.

Vietnam is making meticulous preparation for the second summit between the DPRK leader and U.S. President Donald Trump, which is slated to take place in the capital city of Hanoi on February 27 and 28.
