-- The missing right front-landing wheel of the ATR-72 plane owned by Vietnam Airlines was found some 1.5km away from a Cat Bi airport runway in Hai Phong city on Friday.

-- Traffic congestion has been recently reported at Hang Xanh roundabout in Binh Thanh district and Lang Cha Ca roundabout in Tan Binh district in Ho Chi Minh City where two steel flyovers were built. 

-- A robbery took place at Thu Nam jewelry shop in the southernmost province of Ca Mau on Friday. The armed robbery was arrested the same day.

-- About 100 booths selling seafood at Hai Ha market in the northern province of Quang Ninh were burnt to ashes on Saturday evening.

-- The body of the woman, who was allegedly dumped by owner of a cosmetic surgery clinic based in Hanoi into Hong (Red) River, has been not found yet though the searching mission enters the fifth day.

-- Seven were dead and 39 others injured after a bus plunged into a 30m ravine in Yen Son commune in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai on Friday.


-- Local market management authorities have been criticized for their ill management of unmarked milk product sold in 1kg-bag or “milk sold by kilogram”.


-- President Truong Tan Sang received E. Shvydkoi, the Russian President’s envoy for international cultural ties, in Hanoi on Oct 25 in preparation for the upcoming official visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to VNA.

-- Sen. Lieut. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich - head of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People’s Army -  was received by Second Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party (CCP) Jose Ramon Machado Ventura in Havana on Oct. 24. Lich has expressed his hope that the Party, State and Government of Cuba will continue creating conditions to further defence ties between the two  in the coming time, according to VNA.

-- During an October 25 meeting with 40 deputies who are attending the NA’s 6th session in Hanoi, President Truong Tan Sang has asked entrepreneurs to give more proposals and recommendations to the NA on how to help enterprises overcome difficulties, maintaining stable operation and making contributions to the country’s economic development, according to VNA.
