Those who plan to vacation in northern Vietnam on National Day should prepare for wet squally weather.
A trough from the north of the country will send northern mountainous areas heavy rains starting Thursday, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) has forecast.
The phenomenon is predicted to bring rain to northern areas in the evening, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Rain will continue across northern regions during the national holiday on Friday, September 2.
Authorities are warning of flash floods and landslides in mountainous provinces, especially Son La, Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, and Cao Bang.
Central and southern regions should anticipate a sunny weather pattern during the day and light drizzles in the evening, with temperatures at 21-34 degrees Celsius, according to the NCHMF.
