Three siblings were killed on Tuesday in a road accident in which their motorbike burned down after a collision with a trailer truck in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

The crash happened at 10:30 pm in Loc Chau Commune, Bao Loc City.

A trailer truck bearing the number plate 60C 28395, whose driver has yet to be identified, was traveling from Da Lat City to Ho Chi Minh City when it slammed into the motorbike running in the same direction, eyewitnesses said.

Doan Van Thanh Cong, 17, was steering the motorcycle, with his brothers Doan Cong Danh, 16, and Doan Vu Thien Thuong, 10, riding pillion.

Bao Loc firefighters immediately arrived at the scene and put out the fire.

Initial reports said that the three victims were returning home from a Lunar New Year fair.

The truck is owned by Thuan Phong Transport Joint Stock Company.
