-- Around 300,000 pink-colored Methamphetamine pills, weighing more than 30kg, were confiscated as police in the northern border province of Lai Chau busted a trans-regional drug ring, officers said on Thursday.

-- A court in the southern province of Vinh Long on Thursday sentenced a 25-year-old man to nine years behind bars for killing a burglar who broke into the fish farm he worked for in January.
