-- Vietnamese police on Saturday arrested and launched legal proceedings against Dinh Manh Thang, former chair of Petro Song Da JSC Co., to serve an investigation into a serious economic case. His elder brother, Dinh La Thang, had also been apprehended and investigated for his role in the losses of US$35.24 million in state-run oil and gas giant PetroVietnam’s investment in OceanBank.
-- The People’s Council of the south-central Khanh Hoa Province has approved a proposal put forward by the provincial People’s Committee to prospect for and exploit mineral ores on a total area of 7,800 hectares.
