-- Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on Tuesday held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris during his official visit to France, where the leaders discussed enhanced bilateral trade and cooperation on the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

-- Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, chairwoman of the lawmaking National Assembly of Vietnam, on Tuesday headed a delegation of legislators on an official visit to the Netherlands, where they were received by House Speaker Khadija Arib and discussed cooperation in agriculture and environmental issues.

-- Patients in Vietnam are least satisfied with toilets, hospital fees and hospital beds, according to a survey conducted at 29 public hospitals across the country by research organization Vietnam Initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

-- Over 300 doctors and medics from ten member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including Vietnam, on Tuesday participated in a medical emergency response drill in the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang.

-- Investments worth nearly VND24 trillion ($1.05 billion) have been poured into the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long in southern Vietnam, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on Tuesday at an investment promotion conference.

-- The bank exchange rate of U.S. dollars to Vietnamese dong reached a year high in Vietnam on Tuesday, at VND22,862 for $1, after continuous days of rising due to recent adjustments of dollar interest rates by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
