A woman and her two children died after their house in the northern Vietnamese province of Nam Dinh caught fire before dawn on Sunday.
The flames broke out at around 2:00 am, when the 36-year-old mother was sleeping with her children, aged six and ten, at their house in Yen Tien Commune, local authorities confirmed later the same day.
The three managed to scream for help when they realized the house was on fire.
Some neighbors rushed to the scene and managed to force open the door, only to see the blaze had already engulfed the entire home, killing the three family members.
As the house was used as a store selling electronic devices and fabric, the fire easily grew stronger and could only be extinguished when firefighters arrived at the scene.
Authorities have brought the bodies of the three victims out of the house and are investigating the cause of the fire.
The husband and father of the deceased victims worked far away from home.
Local officials have also provided support for the family.
