A torrential rain that lasted several hours on Saturday afternoon caused many streets in Ho Chi Minh City to be inundated, especially near Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
According to the observation of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporters, the situation was most serious at the entrance of the major airdrome, which is situated in Tan Binh District.
Along such streets as Truong Son, Dong Nai, and Hau Giang, commuters faced immense challenges as rainwater caused many motorcycles to break down.
The downpour accompanied by strong gusts broke a tree on Cong Hoa Street.
