Two people have been killed and three others injured after an automobile collided with a truck along an expressway in northern Vietnam.
According to preliminary information, the collision occurred along the expressway connecting Ha Long City in Quang Ninh Province with Hai Phong City at around 1:00 am on Wednesday.
The two vehicles, a Mazda 3 and a KIA truck, were traveling in the same direction.
The crash site was about one kilometer away from the toll station at Bach Dang Bridge in Quang Yen Town, Quang Ninh Province.

The car was carrying three people, including Nguyen Dong Vinh, Do Duc Trung, and Nguyen Duc Anh, who are all 33 years old and from the northern province of Thai Binh.
Nguyen Van Hung, the 50-year-old driver, and Le Van Chung, 51, were in the truck at the time of the collision.
The collision killed Vinh and Hung, while the other three are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital for their injuries.

Competent authorities later arrived to probe the scene and manage traffic on the expressway.
The Ha Long- Hai Phong Expressway opened to traffic on September 1. It stretches a total of 24.6 kilometers and has a maximum speed limit of 100km per hour.
In related news, a Limousine crashed into a motorbike in Quang Ninh Province at around 6:00 am on the same day.
The two people on the motorcycle, a father and daughter, were killed in the accident.
