-- Vietnam is ready to share with North Korea its socio-economic development and nation building experience that meet the country’s needs, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh at his talks with Foreign Minister of North Korea Ri Yong Ho, who is on an official visit to Vietnam from November 29 to December 2, in Hanoi on Friday.

-- A group young strangers stormed into a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City’s Go Vap District around 6:00 pm Friday, pulling out a gun-like object to control the people in the venue before fleeing the scene with some seized personal property, witnesses told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper. Law enforcement officers are investigating the case.

-- The People’s Court of Buon Ho town in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on Friday sentenced Huynh Thuc Vy, 33, to two years and nine months in prison for insulting the national flag on September 1, 2017.

-- The Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams managed by NPA-Project RENEW on Wednesday safely destroyed a 1.2-meter-long U.S. aircraft bomb, weighing 340kg and containing 183kg of high explosive, at their central demolition site in the central province of Quang Tri.

-- Two men in Sam Son, a coastal city in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa, were rushed to hospital for emergency treatment after they had a gun fight following a quarrel while singing at a local karaoke parlor on Friday afternoon.

-- Many people in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang had the engines of their scooters, which are equipped with intelligent keys, die off whenever they stop by a section on Ly Thuong Kiet Street in the provincial capital of My Tho over the past few days. It is identified that the vehicles were interfered by the wireless security camera at a children fashion shop on this street.

-- The number of foreign tourists to Vietnam in the first eleven months of 2018 is estimated at over 14 million, up 23.1 percent from the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

-- Vietnam’s total export value of agro-forestry-fishery products from January-November expanded 9.1 percent year-on-year to reach US$36.3 billion, according to the Agro Processing and Market Development Authority (AgroTrade) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

-- Vietnam’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) expanded 10.1 percent year-on-year in the first 11 months of 2018, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

-- Fifteen ancient maps and a series of panorama photographs of Ho Chi Minh City are being introduced to the public for the first time at the city’s Book Street - Nguyen Van Binh Street in District 1 - from November 30 to December 9.
