-- Vietnam always wants to strengthen and develop the traditional friendship with North Korea, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said during his reception of North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho in Hanoi on Saturday.

-- The border guard offices and Red Cross Societies in Ho Chi Minh City and the south-central province of Khanh Hoa have offered support worth VND500 million (US$21,365) to flood victims in Nha Trang, a beach city in Khanh Hoa, after Storm Asugi hit the region last Sunday.
