Water supply to seven districts in Ho Chi Minh City will be disrupted this week for pipeline repair work, Saigon Water Corporation has announced.
The state-owned corporation said its subsidiary Thu Duc Water Supply Joint Stock Company would cease or limit supplying water to the seven districts in order to replace the valve system of the D900 pipeline at its clean water pumping plant.
Water supply will be cut off or restricted in these places from 11:00 pm on Saturday to 3:00 am on Sunday.
In District 2, An Khanh, An Loi Dong, An Phu, Binh An, and Thu Thiem Wards will be affected.
In District 9, Phuoc Binh, Phuoc Long A, Phuoc Long B, Tang Nhon Phu B, and the Saigon High-Tech Park will have their water supply disrupted.
Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 in District 8 will be subject to the disruption.
District 7, Nha Be District, Can Gio District, and Binh Hung and Phong Phu Wards of Binh Chanh District will be in the same situation.
The Saigon Water Corporation has pledged to get back to normal supply as soon as it can.
It will deploy mobile water supply vehicles, water tanks, and many other temporary measures to support the residents of the said locales.
