Nearly 100 people have tested positive for drugs after police raided a karaoke shop in the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau on Sunday.
Many customers appeared to be high on drugs inside multiple rooms on the first, second, and third floors of the Gossip karaoke parlor, located in the provincial capital of Ca Mau, when officers inspected the facility in the pre-dawn swoop.
A total of 96 people later tested positive for drugs.
Officers found numerous plastic bags apparently containing crystal meth, while a white substance appearing to be heroin was also found on several plates inside the rooms.
About 300 pills of ecstasy and such weapons as knives and wooden sticks were discovered inside the storeroom of the facility.
On the early morning of February 28, police also caught approximately 100 people consuming narcotics at a club, also named Gossip, which is located near the karaoke shop.
About 59 pills of ecstasy and 30 grams of marijuana were confiscated following the raid.
The Gossip Club is the biggest of its kind in Ca Mau City and a favorite spot of local party goers.
On Saturday, officers in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long arrested 17 men and women, aged 20 to 25, for using drugs inside a local motel.
