-- Ho Chi Minh City is formulating a plan to control carbon dioxide emitted by motorcycles.

-- A student has been caught stealing five laptop computers in the dormitory of the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday night.

-- A police captain was found hanged in his office on Thursday in the southern Vietnamese province of Dong Nai. He was a vice-chief at the firefighting division of the Dong Nai Department of Police. Investigation is ongoing.

-- A teacher has tendered his resignation after he was accused of sexually abusing a fourth grader at an elementary school in the southern Vietnamese province of Tien Giang last month.


-- Vietnam beat Malaysia 1-0 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification in Hanoi on Thursday, placing second with four points after two games in Group G, where the UAE are the leaders.

-- Vietnam U19s defeated hosts Thailand U19s 1-0 on Thursday to advance to the final of a friendly tournament on Thursday.
