-- A cold snap is in the forecast for the northern region of Vietnam from Thursday, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

-- A Vietnam Airlines flight from Moscow to Hanoi was delayed for a day after the plane's engine was damaged by a jet bridge in an on-ground incident at Sheremetyevo International Airport on Tuesday (Russia time).

 -- Police in the northern province of Hoa Binh on Wednesday launched legal proceedings against three suspects in a tap water contamination case that has affected many residents in several districts of Hanoi since October 10.

-- Authorities in Khanh Hoa, a tourism province in south-central Vietnam, are warning tourists against cunning acts of robbers and burglars as the local police have reported 30 robberies and nearly 150 burglaries in the province since the beginning of 2019.

-- Several forests in Hoa Vang and Lien Chieu Districts in the central city of Da Nang are being illegally exploited without local authorities knowing about the situation.

-- A female passenger on board a Bamboo Airways flight from Hanoi to Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on Wednesday afternoon was saved by a doctor who happened to be on the same flight after she suddenly fainted and went into convulsions.

-- Vietnamese electronics company Asanzo is facing a VND26.3 billion (US$1.13 million) fine for multiple tax violations and will have to pay a combined VND40.5 billion ($1.74 million) in tax arrears, according to the Ho Chi Minh City tax department.

-- About 20 suppliers for Vietnamese restaurant chain Mon Hue on Tuesday filed a denunciation to the Ho Chi Minh City Police against the chain’s operators, Nha hang Mon Hue Ltd. and Huy Vietnam Ltd., for fraudulent appropriation of assets on Tuesday.
