— Vietnam’s COVID-19’s tally on Wednesday morning reached 1,094 with 1,007 recoveries and 35 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.
— Only 44,000 foreign visitors arrived in Vietnam during the third quarter of this year, equivalent to just one percent of the figure in the same period last year, the General Statistics Office reported on Tuesday, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
— Police in the southern province of Dong Nai on Tuesday said they had detained 59 people and dozens of improvised weapons after a clash between two gangs in Bien Hoa City’s Thong Nhat Ward the same day.
— Many students got injured and were hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon after a 45-seater van carrying the students collided with a cargo train in Hanoi.
— A tractor-trailer on Tuesday night hit two cars in the opposite lane after it had crashed into the median strip on Bach Dang Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh District. The three vehicles were seriously damaged but no casualties were reported.
— Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Transport has asked relevant agencies to comment on a plan to open pedestrian streets in Ben Nghe, Ben Thanh, and Pham Ngu Lao Wards in District 1.

— Twenty-two Vietnamese exporters of fruits and vegetables and ten importers from the Netherlands on Tuesday attended a virtual conference on trading in fruits and vegetables between the two countries in order to help Vietnamese producers take advantage of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), which took effect on August 1, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

— Vietnamese actor Lien Binh Phat has starred in ‘Come and Go,’ a movie by Malaysian Japanese director Lim Kah Wai, which will be presented at the 2020 Tokyo International Film Festival in November.
— Luong Thuy Linh, the 2019 Miss World Vietnam, has become the ambassador for Day of Pho, an initiative by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper in celebration of the iconic Vietnamese dish which has achieved worldwide recognition.
