— A whirlwind swept through the premises of Hansea Tien Giang Co. Ltd. at Tan Huong Industrial Park in Chau Thanh District, located in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, at around 2:30 pm on Wednesday, unroofing and damaging several of its facilities. There were no casualties reported in the incident.

— Firefighters in Hanoi rescued five people, including two adults and three children, trapped in a gas cylinder store on Phan Xich Street in Dan Phuong District that caught fire on Wednesday night.

Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper has cooperated with Vietnamese mobile wallet app MoMo to launch a new feature allowing people to make donations to help people affected by floodwater in central Vietnam in a convenient and cash-free way.

— Vietnam would remain the only country with positive growth among five major economies in ASEAN, and its economic expansion would rebound to 6.7 percent in 2021, according to the International Monetary Fund’s October 2020 World Economic Outlook (WEO) Update released on Wednesday.

— Vietnam welcomed more than 3.68 million foreign visitors in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year slump of 67.4 percent, heard a press conference held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in Hanoi on Wednesday.

— Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines have just launched a new Branded Fare Matrix (BFM) with a simple, easy-to-remember, easy-to-understand design and clear information about the interests of passengers according to each fare group.


— An awards ceremony for the biennial Vietnam Art Photo Contest and Exhibition 2020 organized by the Department of Art, Photography, and Exhibitions under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism was held to honor winners in Hanoi on Wednesday afternoon.


— Viettel FC defeated Ho Chi Minh City FC 1-0 on the latter’s home turf in the second round of Vietnam's top-flight V-League 1’s second phase on Wednesday night to claim the top spot on the table from Saigon FC.
