— A whirlwind swept through the premises of Hansea Tien Giang Co. Ltd. at Tan Huong Industrial Park in Chau Thanh District, located in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, at around 2:30 pm on Wednesday, unroofing and damaging several of its facilities. There were no casualties reported in the incident.
— Firefighters in Hanoi rescued five people, including two adults and three children, trapped in a gas cylinder store on Phan Xich Street in Dan Phuong District that caught fire on Wednesday night.

— Nearly 70 percent of about 16,800 businesses surveyed in Ho Chi Minh City are still having difficulties in production and operational activities due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the municipal Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs.
— Vietnam would remain the only country with positive growth among five major economies in ASEAN, and its economic expansion would rebound to 6.7 percent in 2021, according to the International Monetary Fund’s October 2020 World Economic Outlook (WEO) Update released on Wednesday.
