Police in Tien Giang Province, located in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region, are investigating a case where a gunfight occurred at a karaoke bar, killing a man and injuring two others just past midnight on Tuesday.

According to preliminary information, two groups of men broke into a fight at around 00:45 am on Wednesday at the X.O. karaoke parlor on Nguyen Minh Duong Street in Dao Thanh Commune, My Tho City, Tien Giang.

During the melee, Nguyen Thanh Hai, a 32-year-old man dwelling in Ward 2 in My Tho, was shot by another man using an object that looked like a gun.

Hai was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment, but he could not make it and died later.

Two other injured men, one of whom was hit by bullets, were also taken to hospital.

Police in Tien Giang immediately arrived at and inspected the scene after being informed of the case.

In initial results, police officers seized a number of bullet shells, whose origin remains unknown, in and outside the karaoke bar.
