A parking lot operated by traffic police in Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City caught fire on Tuesday night, with many vehicles and properties heavily damaged.

Locals discovered the blaze in the parking lot on Thong Nhat Street, Binh Tho Ward at around 10:10 pm, which quickly spread to several other vehicles and local houses.

Due to the rapid spread of the inferno, local residents failed to put out the fire.

After being notified of the blaze, the Thu Duc City Fire and Rescue Police Department immediately dispatched a number of vehicles, firefighters, and soldiers to the scene.

The fire was completely contained after about 25 minutes.
