— The Hanoi Center for Disease Control is looking for passengers who were on the same bus of Van Tuyen Bus Line, which traveled from the southern province of Binh Duong and arrived at My Dinh Bus Station in Hanoi at around 3:30 pm on Wednesday, after a passenger on the vehicle tested positive for COVID-19.

— Local authorities in the northern province of Bac Ninh’s Que Vo District on Wednesday afternoon said the locality had just detected a cluster of 11 local transmissions related to COVID-19 cases at Sao Mai Preschool in Bac Ninh City ten days earlier.

— A vaccination spot in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho’s Cai Rang District on Wednesday afternoon had to stop midway after thousands of people jostled to get the jabs.

— Those who provide reliable information for the prevention of COVID-19 in the northern province of Vinh Phuc from October 20 will be rewarded with VND1-2 million (US$44 to 88), local authorities announced.

— A rain lasting for nearly half an hour on Wednesday afternoon left many people struggling to commute on flooded streets in Ho Chi Minh City’s Go Vap and Binh Thanh Districts.

— Authorities are investigating an incident in which a sleeper bus on Wednesday night suddenly caught fire while traveling on Mai Chi Tho Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s Thu Duc City. No casualties were reported.


— Dong Nai has attracted US$1.1 billion to nearly 140 foreign direct investment projects since the start of this year, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday.


— Vietnamese singer – songwriter Phan Manh Quynh has recently released a new song on the theme of labor migration titled 'Nghi Truoc Buoc Sau' (Think Before You Go) as part of the project 'Tackling Modern Slavery Vietnam' funded by the UK government, the British Embassy in Hanoi said on its verified Facebook page on Wednesday.

— Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to submit a brief report on the Oc Eo - Ba The relic site in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang to the UNESCO World Heritage Center, proposing putting the site on the Tentative List, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday.
