A survey has found that 90 percent of Singaporeans plan to visit Vietnam this year once all international travel restrictions are lifted.
The poll, conducted by Changi Airport Group on nearly 1,000 Singaporeans passing through the eponymous airport from November 24 to December 8, 2021, to evaluate Singaporeans' attitudes toward Vietnam's tourism.
Accordingly, 95 percent of the respondents stated they would spend their vacations in Vietnam for more than seven days.
Apart from that, 90 percent of the Singaporeans expect to visit Vietnam this year after all international travel restrictions are abolished.
According to the survey, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Ha Long Bay are Singaporean tourists' ideal destinations while visiting Vietnam.
Several qualities of Vietnam highly appreciated by tourists include magnificent scenery, rich culture and history, diverse regional cuisines, and the hospitable Vietnamese people.
The survey's findings showed Vietnam's reopening to international tourists would significantly enhance potential demand, the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) said.
TAB in collaboration with the Private Economic Development Research Board and other units have proposed the Vietnamese prime minister lift all international and domestic travel limitations from May 1.
