A Vietjet flight on Tuesday brought 350 visitors from Kazakhstan to Cam Ranh International Airport, paving the way for the return of the international tourists from Central Asia to Khanh Hoa Province in south-central Vietnam.
Bui Quoc Dai, executive vice-president of Anex Vietnam Travel and Trading Company, said the company collaborated with Vietnamese budget carrier Vietjet Air to bring international guests from the Kazakhstan market on a package tour to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa for tourism and relaxation.
Vietjet will fly two Airbus A330 flights per week between Cam Ranh and Kazakhstan’s Almaty, with each leg taking about nine hours, from October 25 this year to April 30, according to a plan.

With Cam Ranh airport located only around 40km from Nha Trang, the route helps connect the Vietnamese tourist city of Nha Trang with Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest economic center.
Aside from tourism, the route will help boost business and education travel between the two cities.
Khanh Hoa has never been a top destination for Kazakhstani travelers due to the lack of direct flights.
“Launching a direct route from Kazakhstan brings tourists from Kazakhstan and some Eastern European countries back to Khanh Hoa, diversifying the province’s international tourist market,” said Cung Quynh Anh, deputy director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
“Our department has asked local businesses to upgrade their quality and services, as well as promote new tourism products to attract tourists.”
“This is my first time in Vietnam,” Diana, a tourist from Kazakhstan told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
“It’s hot here but I am delighted with the warm welcome from the local people.
“I hope to experience great services and local cuisine during my holiday in Khanh Hoa.”
