The Cat Linh – Ha Dong metro line, the first of its kind in Hanoi, on Saturday morning faced a problem with its recorded signal warning system, which took an hour to be solved, Vu Hong Truong, general director of Hanoi Metro, the operator of the metro line, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
“At 9:45 am [on Saturday], the recorded signal warning system at Cat Linh Station in Ba Dinh District incurred an error," Truong said.
“The problem is among the 62 scenarios that we have anticipated, so we have dealt with it as scheduled.
"At 10:45 am, the problem was fixed and train services on the metro line were resumed.
"During the problem, a train from Cat Linh Station and some trains from Thuong Dinh Station in Thanh Xuan District to Yen Nghia Station in Ha Dong District stopped.
“We arranged buses to transport affected passengers."
On December 7, 2021, the metro line also faced a problem with its signal warning system, forcing its trains to stop for over 30 minutes.
After fixing the problem, the operator of the metro line announced it was a drill.
The Cat Linh – Ha Dong metro line has 12 elevated stations and 13 trains which run from Cat Linh Station to Yen Nghia Station.
The metro line was put into operation on November 6, 2021 and now services around 22,000 passengers per day on working days and 30,000 passengers on weekends.
