Dwellers in Ho Chi Minh City finally could cool down a bit after days of suffering the scorching hot weather, as multiple districts citywide saw torrential rains on Saturday evening.
This is considered the heaviest rain in the southern metropolis in the year to date.

The heavy downpour was induced by wind disturbance linked to weak movements of the equatorial low-pressure belt.
Such rains remain normal as southern Vietnam is entering the rainy season in late April or early May.
Many similar rains are expected to hit the city till the end of this month.
